Because every band needs a T-Shirt

Good weekend with our first show at The Knitting Factory Brooklyn. As opposed to the rest of the band who have been on stage MUCH more recently with other projects (in one case yesterday!), it has been a bit longer for me. The nerves hit, but it all worked out in the end. Looking forward to the next show.

Some good stories too, some less show related than others, but do enjoy the multiple interpretations of the band name.  Anyway, back to the original story, I realized that I still have t-shirts from bands past that I was in (and wasn’t in), and figured that our band needs one too.

Stereo Off - T Shirt

Bit of a test run above, but perhaps we’ll be able to get these on site soon so that someone other than me can have one. Let us know what you think. I guess stickers are another early requirement for bands, though I don’t see that as much as I used to. Perhaps I’m outdated.

I still remember bands releasing albums and they would often hide a bonus track on the CD (when’s the last time you bought one of those?).  But those hidden tracks were awesome, even if often a random outtake or B-side (there’s another old reference).  Still, one these days can’t get a “hidden download” – oh look my mp3 player or computer opened a random file I didn’t download… and its a song!  Or a virus.  Or both.  Damn, time for a new computer then.

About The Band

Stereo Off is a 3 piece band based in New York. With influences ranging from electronic bands and rock influences from classic rock to 90’s indie bands on both sides of the Atlantic, Stereo Off has played various shows in and around NY in the past couple of years including venues such as the Knitting Factory, Bowery Electric and (the late) Glasslands, along with CMJ Festival and more. In 2014, they released "New York", their debut 5 song EP, and have also appeared in music soundtracks for various short films in 2014/2015, some of which have appeared in film festivals around the US. A second EP came out in August 2015 "The Long Hot Winter" and after some lineup changes and going from a 5 piece to 3 a third one is now completed and to be released in Feb 2017, followed by a full length LP.
