Thanks Everyone

Great night on Friday at the Rock Shop.

There are some great quality pics over here though – http://www.flickr.com/photos/42302753@N05/sets/72157633416832974/with/8706473011/ – courtesy of one of Crazy Pills friends I believe….

Had an awesome time with DJ KGB, Auto Bonfire & Crazy Pills, a great bunch, who all sounded brilliant whether on stage or via the speakers. The Rock Shop was solid as always, and we were able to play the following set:

Mi6 / Bullet Time / The Thrill / That Friday / Supercooler / Wait Again / Something’s Happening / Effectual / Highlight Fadeout / Photographs

However, the biggest gamble for us was due to the keyboard breaking earlier in the week (it fell out of its case whilst being carried and got smashed on the concrete sidewalk, lost a couple keys, etc). So instead of borrowing a keyboard from someone else, or just playing a couple of songs with the viola, we (or should I say Bridget) decided to play the viola on all songs. Sounded great though!

See you in a few weeks at the Paper Box.

Stereo Off at the Rock Shop Brooklyn

Stereo off at Rock Shop Brooklyn, May 3
Stereo off at Rock Shop Brooklyn, with DJ KGB, Crazy Pills & Auto Bonfire – May 3

It’s been a little while, but we’ve been busy getting things together in time for our next show, which is on Friday, May 3rd at The Rock Shop in Brooklyn. Hope to see you there.

We will be on at 10, but its part of a great line up, so we will be there from 8 onwards. Before and after each band will be DJ KGB too, spinning some great tracks. It all starts at 8pm on a Friday, so what better way to start the weekend.

Soundtracks For Indie Films

Just wanted to get the word out about Dead Red Eyes and their upcoming premiere in NC. Two short movies by the indie film makers in particular, “The Torment”, and “Alphabet Soup” – both just finished. One of which has Stereo Off doing the music soundtrack for it, the other has some cuts from my previous band. So its sort of self-promotion. But cross-promotion too. Does that make it better or worse? Anyway, find out more at www.deadredeyes.com. Once the film is publicly available, we’ll update the link here too.

Stereo Off at Arlene’s Grocery – Setlist and Video

Thanks to everyone that came out last night to see us at Arlene’s Grocery. We gave away some t-shirts and stuck around for rock and roll karaoke afterwards, to hear what you had for us. Loads of people may have been out of town, but we still got a great turn out and a fun night. Also turns out the gig overall was one of the “5 Best Things in NYC to do that night” according to CBS New York at http://newyork.cbslocal.com/

Anyway, cheers to Eleanor and everyone at Arlene’s. A few videos were sent to us and we’ve put them on YouTube for now. One of them appears at the top of this post. As for the set list, it went like this:

MI6
Bullet Time
Bad Friday
The Thrill
Supercooler
Wait Again (video above)
Somethings Happening
Effectual
LA Dreaming
Photographs

So that’s ten songs this time and our last gig of 2012.

Here’s to a great 2013 for everyone.
